When I was tagged in these photos on Instagram, I just had to know more about this party! I know you will love this party as much as I do. I am so excited to have Brittney of Lottie Grace Photography who styled and photographed this gorgeous party share all of the details:

“My daughter knew exactly what she wanted to do for her 4th birthday party. She wanted to have a mermaid party and let me tell you, I was all for it! I absolutely LOVE planning for my children’s parties and this one is no different! When I plan parties, the first thing that I do is find a colour scheme that I’d like to go with and from there, I choose my invitation and then start shopping for decor! (The best part!)

I knew that I wanted to set up the main decor at the sweet table. All the sweets I had made were made to go with the colour scheme and theme of the party. I also like to use the desserts as decorations as well! All the vendors I use are super creative and talented that it was almost to beautiful to eat. But everything worked so well together and really added to the whole design! The main piece of the decor that drew our eyes to the sweet table, was the balloon garland! It was my first time using a balloon garland and I have to say it wont be my last! It was super easy to put together and all the colours complemented each other perfectly.

Another one of my favourite parts of designing parties is putting together the kids table! I have the cutest table from Target that I use at all our parties. It’s white so it goes with every everything. I jazzed it up with the cutest paper plates. I layered them to give it a bit more texture. The octagon dinner plates were from PrimandParty on ETSY. They have a gold rim, which really added a little POP! I then placed the seashell dessert plates on top, these were from target and were super cute. I really like to add height, so I put a singular cupcake on the most adorable cupcake stands, and then finished it off with vintage milk glasses and rose gold cutlery.

It wouldn’t be a Mermaid Party at the Mermaid lagoon, without a REAL mermaid!! Paige the Mermaid came to surprise my daughter and her friends! The girls had a lesson on how to swim like real mermaids and Paige did the most amazing mermaid show for us all. I knew for the photos I wanted to have a “backdrop” of some sort. I found this large inflatable clamshell (that actually comes with an inflatable pearl too!) from amazon. It was the perfect setting for the photos.

A party isn’t complete without a party favour (or favours)! Since I started planning so early for this party, the favours really accumulated! They girls were gifted; mermaid necklaces, seashell bath bombs, mermaid puzzles, mermaid stickers, sparkly mermaid sunscreen, tropical fans, and a mermaid stuffy! I placed all their favour bags on a vintage ladder.
