I’m excited to announce a new series my IG besties and I created! It’s called #HeadOutWithUs. One thing we all enjoy doing with our girlfriends is shopping. Since none of us live near each other, we decided to start this series to shop with each other virtually!

Once a month we will all go shopping for supplies to set a tablescape, create a cocktail, throw a party, etc. for a special holiday or theme. For the launch of the series, we went shopping for Mother’s Day. Be sure to follow along with the fun over on Instagram stories @ohhowcharming | @pop_of_gold | @rustychicdecor | @mannersandmanhattans | @pixelsandpop

If you miss our stories, they will be saved under highlights on each of our IG pages. We would love for you to join in with your IG besties and go shopping, too! Make sure to tag us and use the hashtag #HeadOutWithUs #HeadOutWithUsMothersDay if you will be participating this month.

For my Mother’s Day shopping trip, I went to Target and World Market (they are right next to each other, hello trouble!) to gather supplies to create a tablescape and dessert table. I purchased napkins, pink drinks, and pink pressed glasses at World Market; blue salad plates and a jute table runner at Target.

Place Setting:
Each place setting had a white dinner plate, gorgeous blue salad plate, gold flatware, pink pressed glass tumbler and knotted dusty blue tile design napkin.

Centerpiece:
I love the natural look of this table runner! I purchased flowers from my local Publix to create a large bouquet and used two bud vases with a tulip on each side.

Dessert Table & Backdrop:
This is such a simple and expensive backdrop that still adds a nice “pop”! I used twelve 11″ balloons (rose, pearl pink and pink) and arranged them at varying heights.

The dessert table included donuts, chocolate cookies, cupcakes and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

I hope this series inspires you to come shopping with us and gives you inspiration for your Mother’s Day party!
