Dun dun dun duuuun (cue the Jaws theme song). Are you a Jaws fan?! Whenever Jaws is on TV, I always watch it! Between baby shark (do do do dooo) and shark week beginning 7/28, I decided a shark theme would be perfect for a summer party!

When planning a party, the first thing I do is look for an invitation. It really sets the tone for the party. My favorite place to get invitations is Paperless Post. They make it so easy to invite your guests! I love the convenience of sending a virtual invitation.
Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Paperless Post. I received credits for the invitations. As always, all opinions are my own.

Paperless Post has every theme you can think of. It’s actually hard to narrow it down and choose one haha! The customization is amazing. You are able to choose your background, and even the lining and color of the envelope. I created this jawsome invitation and love how it turned out.

For this party, I set up a simple dessert table. I created a streamer backdrop in shades of blue to resemble the ocean. This is such an easy DIY. It costs under $8 to create, too! It is way easier than it looks. Head over to my Instagram and checkout of my “streamer backdrop” highlight for a video tutorial.

I also made a 4ft DIY balloon garland in shades of blue with clear balloons to have the look of bubbles.

I like to stick to 2 or 3 desserts for a smaller party. Use different cake stands and trays to display your sweets.

I printed little sharks out to place on top of my cupcakes. I found this shark at the supermarket…he was a bit hungry and couldn’t resist this cupcake 😉

I always like to include fresh flowers. Even something as simple as baby’s breath.

Chomp, chomp, happy shark week!
