This is my second time creating a streamer backdrop using plastic fencing. (I have a blog post from 2018 for using string to create one, click here). This trend has been popular for a couple years now and I only see it becoming more popular. It’s easy, affordable and gives that “wow” factor.
The only supplies needed are scissors, plastic tablecloths and plastic fencing. I have linked each product below. For the fencing, I used the white one. I will be honest, the holes on the white fencing are pretty small, FYI. It is still easy for me to work with though. If you do choose the green fencing (the holes are larger), the streamers will cover it so you can’t see the color.
Check out my video below for the DIY!
When cutting the strips, be sure to fold your tablecloth so the uncut edge is at the top. I cut my strips about an inch wide.

Would you believe I styled this using only items from around my house?! This would be the perfect set up for a boho party. For a fun detail, I added a few dried floral stems to the top of my backdrop.

I hope this inspires you to create your own streamer backdrop. If you have any questions, let me know!
