Fall 2018: Behind the Scenes & Collections

Did summer seem to fly by or is just me?! Luckily, there are no signs of fall here in Florida! Last week, I finalized and finishing photographing products for my 2018 fall collection.

Behind the scenes Yes, this is my real set up for taking photos! LOL. Super simple and works perfectly for what I need to achieve :). Our rental has ugly brown carpets (no offense to anyone with brown carpets, just not my taste)! I do not like having the carpet in any photos. Me and my husband are having a house built so I will have the deal with these carpets for a few more months. For a temporary fix, I purchased two wainscot panels from Home Dept (here) and place them on the floor anytime I am doing a photoshoot.

Other items I use for product photoshoots:

Command hooks on my wall for hanging balloon garlands
Believe it or not, the clip on the tape measure is amazing for holding balloons in place while taking photos!

New products for fall

When designing a seasonal collection, I start by looking at what was popular the previous year in my shop to see if those trends will carry over. My fall collection for this year includes classic color combinations and unexpected color ways.

Each capsule includes a DIY balloon garland, latex bouquet, tissue confetti bouquet, mylar confetti bouquet and a multi-sized latex balloon bouquet.

“BFF” I chose these colors for a photoshoot my husband & I had on the land our house will be built. My husband is of course my best friend and my best friend since high school was our photographer. BFF was the perfect name for this capsule with such special meaning!
